Counselling

What is Counselling?
Counselling provides a safe and confidential space for you to talk about issues and problems. You will be supported in exploring your thoughts, feelings and behaviours so you can develop a better understanding of yourself and of others. You will be listened to without judgement. You may be offered information, but you will not be told what you should think or do.

The process will help you find your own solutions – whether that is making effective changes in your life or finding ways of dealing with your problems.

Counselling can help with:

  • - Anxiety, stress or depression.
  • - An unsettling event, such as a bereavement, redundancy, divorce or health scare.
  • - A past experience that has not been dealt with and is now affecting your daily life.
  • - A need to talk to someone independent of family and friends about personal, family or relationship issues.
  • - A feeling of dissatisfaction with life in general.
